Dishonest reporting Ripoff

SPS has horrible customer service! They do not inform their customer of necessary details to avoid negative reporting to credit beureaus.

In June I called SPS to receive pay off information to pay off my loan and sell my home. They said my pay off amount was good for 30 days. I was struggling to pay the mortage and couldn't pay for June. I knew I would be reported late for that month.

However, SPS reported me 60-day late as of July 12 and received their pay off on July 16! I called them after reviewing my recent credit report and was told they automatically report on the 12th of each month.

I informed the supervisor that had I known I would receive another late on my report, I would have had the pay off scheduled for an earlier date. If I had paid on July 1, the pay off amount they gave me wouldn't be correct and I would have overpaid. She said they would have reimbursed me.

I asked what is the point of scheduling a pay off if you will report me to the credit beareau and she said some people don't pay when they say they will and they can't go off of that.

I am hightly upset by this, how it has affected my credit report, and the customer service I received from this supervisor who reluctantly provided me with dispute information only after I insisted that there must be some way to dispute this and had to ask for each bit of information she provided instead of her just telling me the entire process.

When I asked for another supervisor, she claimed to be the only supervisor and their was no complaint department for customer service.
