Wli Reservation Rewards
Ripoff company somehow got hold of my banking information through 123inkjets.com and charged my account $9.00 ripoff

While checking my banking statement, I noticed that a $9.00 charge had been posted to my debit card by a company known as WLI Reservation Rewards. When I called them to find out why my account was charged, they explained to me that while making an online purchase with 123INKJETS.com, I had signed up for their rewards program. I tried explaining as politely as I could that I would not have "knowingly" signed up for any type of rewards program since I do not trust such programs. They insisted that I HAD signed up, and my response was, "The only explanation I can think of is that I THOUGHT that I was giving my information to 123INKJETS.com - not to anyone else - therefore there must be something "tricky" about your pop-up that leads people to believe they are giving their banking information to the website that they are on when instead they are unknowingly giving it to someone else entirely."

The woman that I spoke with, (Wanda) said that they would be glad to reimburse the amount that was subtracted from my account and would close my membership with WLI. I said - "yes - please do all of the above." She said that she would send me an email telling me that the transaction was concluded and a verification of the cancelled membership. That was yesterday, (5/26/05). When I checked my email this morning, I found that there was nothing from WLI. So, I checked my banking records and found that the transaction had NOT been reversed as promised, so I made a 2nd call to WLI this morning, this time a bit less polite than yesterday. Bottom line, they have (again) promised to reverse the transaction, etc. And I have received a confirmation of that via email. I also contacted 123INKJETS to inform them that this might be a problem with other customers.

Needless to say, I will no longer be ordering from 123inkjets.com, and I think it important for people to know that WLI Reservation Rewards has apparently popped up on other sites as well - such as expedia.com - according to a complaint made on this website.
