Ripoff Entered false delinquincy report on my credit report never had an accout with Bellsouth

The first time I found out about this "bill" was via my credit report, which stated I was delinquent to Bell South in the amount of approx. 155.00. Experian reviewed the claim and stated "status unchanged" afterwards. I wrote to CBCS and told them I'd never received a phone bill from Bell South, that I never lived at the purported address, and was not even born when the alleged date of service started!!!

CBCS directed me to complete a fraud report, which included a requirement that I send copies of proof of residence and a copy of my drivers' license!!! I did not want to do this; intuition told me that if someone claims I owe money, SHOW ME THE BILL, BABY!

I then called Bellsouth, related the history, gave my ssn, (CBCS had and which the claim was under, and they instructed me to complete the fraud claim forms as well, EVEN THOUGH THEY STATED THEY HAD NO RECORD OF PHONE SERVICE UNDER MY SSN!!!

I am going to follow advice found in this site and send a cease and desist letter to these phonies, I know this is a strong-arm ploy to get someone with a decent credit record to pay rather than fight!!!

I am not going to be rolled like this!
