Ripoff

I called the company for a bid only to have 4 lights to install. They came out and I showed them the lights that needed to be changed and then they tell that I have to pay $49.49 for a trip charge right then and there. I was not told by the office of this charge. I paid the charge, but then started thinking that they had ripped me off. I shouldn't have paid for the charge, but now it is too late. Or can I call the credit card company to cancel it off my card?
