Ripoff embezzler liar deadbeat unscrupulous

Ms. Thompson is engaged to my partner's uncle. She mentioned that she has done some business consulting in the past as well as having written business plans for clients.

I asked her for a time line for completion of a business plan and she said 4 weeks at most. That was ideal for me. She informed me that she would perform various tasks needed to start a business in philadelphia. We agreed on a total price and she informed me that she required a downpayment. She then asked to borrow 1,000 dollars as well.

I met with her and we signed a contract for the services as well as for the loan.

We spoke on the telephone a few times and had a few face to face meetings but the services were not performed. She eventually gave me a rough copy of the business plan and need the balance due on the contract. Before giving her the balance I informed her that I was not satisfied with our transaction up to that point. She apologized and promised to that there would not be any problems going forward.

We spoke on the telephone a few times after that but our next meeting was not for a few months where she confessed that she used the money I gave her for her business and she could not replace it. I was then promised her full commitment to completing my project. That did not happen.

I sued her in civil court (she did not show up) and won my cases. As of this writing, she has not contacted me in regard to paying the judgement.
