Lost My Return And Will Not Refund My Money ripoff lost merchandise return policy refund dishonest Freehold

I ordered a ring from JC Penny over the internet. I received the ring and a few weeks later I decided to return it because it just didn't fit comfortably. I mailed the ring with the original invoice and all the standard return paperwork that I had completed to the address specified on the website.

Since the debit card I had used for the purchase was no longer valid, I requested that my refund be sent back in a check. Six weeks later, I contacted the company and was informed that they never received my return. The customer service rep said that someone would look into it. Two weeks after that I called back and was told that there was no record of my phone call two weeks earlier and they had no information about my situation.

This time they said that they had received the return and that a check would be sent out to me in 3 to 5 business days. Needless to say, I never received this check and so two weeks later, I called back again. I was told that whomever I spoke with last time gave me incorrect information because a check was never issued and was not going to be. There was no record of my return and no indication that I would receive a refund.

I have called numerous times since only to be told that "someone would look into it and get back to me" and no one ever has done so much as make one phone call or send an e-mail. Therefore, I have to assume that no one is working on this and no one is ever going to get back to me and I spent $80 at JC Penny's only so that they could lose my return and keep my money. This ordeal has been going on for almost a year. If you shop here you had better be certain that what you buy is exactly what you want and it will never need to be returned or exchanged.
