Baroness Inn
Ran out of food for Wedding, didn't perform contracted services Dallas/Ft Worth Area

Shops, Products, Services

We contracted to have our wedding and reception for 175 people at the Baroness Inn. The wedding party of 19 people was contracted to stay at the Baroness Inn from Friday night (rehearsal and rehearsal dinner) through Sunday brunch).

This is what we got: a weekend where hunger was the running theme for everyone, services weren't provided, services were inadequate, and a rude owner's husband (to guests and wedding party).

In short, they did not do what they said they were going to do, or the quality one would expect for a wedding. I didn't dream of some lavish fairy tale, but I expected better than the owner telling a usher "Well, your friends just ate too much" when they ran out of food at our reception.

Ask yourself these questions before planning something at the Baroness. These are all things that happened to us. Do you want:
-Your wedding reception to run out of food?
-Your wedding coordinator who's supposed to be telling you where to go when not be around at all and not even tell people when to walk down the aisle?
-The owner's husband dressed in wrinkled clothes during your reception?
-A cold rehearsal dinner served in Styrofoam to-go boxes with plastic silverware?
-A rehearsal dinner where the portion sizes left even the smallest girls hungry - and there was no more to be had?
-A reception where the contracted bartender asks how to make every mixed drink (even rum and coke)?
-A reception site where you had been led to believe there was plenty of parking, but in fact the guests were stuck parking on the sides of a gravel street?
-A place where the owners refused to give a vegetarian bridesmaid (well known before the wedding) a breakfast plate without the sausage gravy?
-A place that ran out of citronella the week before for an outdoor wedding, and did not go out to get more when there was a noticeable mosquito issue?
-A place that consistently had empty tea, water, and coffee pitchers during reception and rehearsal dinner
-A place where the owner's husband was pouring the wine for your toast out of a box right in front of the guest and handing it to them?

I had never heard of a wedding running out of food before mine. It's not something you want your wedding to be known for, and their poor handling of our wedding has tainted the memory. Don't do that to yourself.

When I tried to contact the Baroness Inn, I was ignored.
