The only reason I agreed to try PrivacyGuard is that the telemarketer-like customer service rep. At Citibank WOULDN'T STOP FREAKING TALKING, TALKING, TALKING, TALKING until I gave in, and also supposedly because I could drop the service after the free trial period if I wanted to do so. Well, it turns out it's not quite that simple.
I just received my credit card bill for January, and there's another monthly charge for PG, two weeks after I called and told PrivacyGuard I was dropping them. I'll probably be contacting whichever departments in the state governments of Wisconsin and Connecticut that deal with consumer fraud, and I may even drop Citibank as my credit card company for this outrage.
I see that the fraudulent billing class-action lawsuit of which I learned elsewhere on the Internet is fully justified, because what I am experiencing is essentially a form of fraudulent billing, IMHO.
