I would NOT buy a used car from this man

Thinking I was going to a preliminary interview at a recruiting agency as I had at another firm in the previous week, I attended a meeting with John Geisler of Bernard Haldane at Suite 1800 701 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, BC, Canada 604.609.6661.

After I had filled in a short questionaire on the internet a Mr. Robinson of Bernard Haldane called me and asked if I could come in for an "interview" with Mr. Geisler. I agreed and went downtown early Monday.

What I got amounted to an attempted hard sell somewhat like a hard-sell time-share condo sales pitch. It was somewhat rude, uninformative and set off every internal alarm I developed in five years as a private investigator. It was a sales pitch of the oddest nature - I was going to do all of the work, this was repeated several times, and they would do... I am not sure, they were going to test me and find out what I really wanted and fix my bad resume. It was sort of like being cold read by a con-artist, something I am trained to spot.

I am not going to the REQUIRED (his emphasis) second "interview" with my wife (his requirement was that my wife attend the second "interview", no good reason was given for this although I suspect it was to recruit her and have her push me into a contract).

As I said I am trained to spot a con and be immune to intimidation so I knew what had just happened. Please, do not let Bernard Haldane take your money, there are many programs that are cheaper or even free that are more effective at training and helping you in finding a job. Check your local colleges and government programs. Haldane takes money, they do little to earn it.

I only wish I had gone to the usacomplaints.com first. It would have saved me the trouble.
