Refuses to acknowledge faxed confirmation that I'm not liable for debt

About a year ago, I got a call from a man from Allied Interstate about an SBC business bill. This was approx. 4 yrs after a divorce and the debts for the business were to all be paid by the ex. A year goes by, I start getting calls about the debt again. This has gone on for months now, and finally, I got a copy of my divorce decree to fax to them.

2 weeks and 2 faxes later, they still call every day. No one has seen the fax, they won't go look for it. They would prefer to call and harass me as the girl on the phone today verified to me.

I called SBC and they can't and/or won't call off the hounds, so I called the IL Attorney General's Office and they are sending me a complaint form.

Can't wait to see what's next!

I found this site by accident, hoping to find an email address for Allied, in the hope that maybe they would acknowledge an email, but I'm sure that would have been just as futile as the faxes! LOL

By the way, I have never seen the SBC bill, nor have I ever received any written communication from Allied, only the regular-as-clockwork morning phone call.

I won't recommend blowing up their building, even though the thought did cross my mind as I was trying to come up with threats I couldn't be arrested for, but I would like to communicate their fax # and maybe all the other disgruntled consumers out there can start faxing them and using up all their paper and ink/toner, and driving THEM crazy for a change! Hey, they don't see or receive their faxes anyway, according to them. HA!

The witch on the phone this morning verified that the fax # is correct and the 2 faxes I sent them did go through with no problem, they just "didn't receive" them. Their fax # is: 480-610-3088. I find it hard to believe that an 8-page fax was misplaced or lost, twice!

Well, I'll keep this updated as it progresses with the Atty. Gen.'s office. Thanks for a place to vent!!
