Sprint PCS
Sells defective phones and lack accurate account management. Ripoff!

Shops, Products, Services

I've always had problems with Sprint, mostly with their ability to keep accurate account information. My most recent problem is with their Sanyo 8100 phone.

I began having problems with call retention, reception, and just plain receiving calls and placing calls. I thought it was because of the area I may be calling from. But when people were telling me they were calling me and I knew there was a problem because my phone never rang on my end.

After speaking to representatives about the problems several times I went to two Sprint stores. The first store examined the phone and notice there was no damage and referred me to another store to have technicians run tests. The tests ran declared the phone defective.

I thought I would be able to get another one, no charges, because after all, this was not because of anything I've done to make the phone not work, its was defective, a manufactoring problem.

Sprint states that their warranty is only for 1 year. I began have problems approximately 2 weeks after the warranty expired. Sprint states that without insurance, I would have to purchase a new phone. However, I was unaware that I did not have insurance, because I remember having it. I do not recall and do not believe that I cancelled my insurance, which is what Sprint is stating happened.

Sprint sells customers defective phones, cancels insurance coverage, and then require them to purchase new phones, and delivers horrible service and account maintenance.

Just last week, they shut off my service and told me that I went over my mins. As I explained to the customer service rep., I cant even use my phone, so how can I go over the mins. Then she looked up my call log and realized I indeed had not gone over the mins, so she said I must have went over on my text msging. I do not use that service, and she confirmed that I had not used text msging. But yet I had an additional and unexplained $30 on my account and the rep. Admitted she had no idea why and couldn't find anything on my account to explain the additional charges. But the rep. Was only willing to credit me for $10 of the $30 unexplain charges!!!

SPRINT is DEFINITELY a RIP OFF. AND as soon as this contract is over, IM LEAVING SPRINT.
