Ripoff Very bad customer service have no clue what there doing

I decided to go to Rent A Center for a computer. I have never in my life had such bad customer service or dealt with such heavy handed collection tactics. They will call me before my payment is due sometimes 3 or 4 times a day.

2 days before christmas they sent me a letter stating that i was 3 weeks behind and if i did nt make a payment in 2 days they would come to my house and repo the computer. I did nt understand this since i had thought we were current. So my husband called and told him he did nt get paid until friday and that he would be in to pay it then. They were very rude and called him a "bust out" and asked if he ever paid any of his bills.

So he goes in friday to pay 123.00 and asks him if we were current after that. They then inform him that there was a mistake in the computer and we are now a month ahead in payments and were never behind in the first place. No apology or nothing.

A week afterwards my computer crashed so i took it in. They said that they would be able to fix it without wiping out my hard drive. I asked them to please call me if they had to wipe anything out before they did it. Well they did nt and when brought it back home there was nothing on it i had no sound no ethernet nothing. When i called them they basically told me that wasn t there problem and they had done what they had to do to it to get it to run.

My husband then called to complain that they had wiped all my music and movie files without first contacting us and was told that "since it wasn t our computer we should nt be downloading anything on it.

Then what the hell am i paying 45 bucks a week for?!

I have complained on there company website and gotten no response. I feel that just because my credit is maxed (i have very good credit I just can t prove my income) does nt mean i don t deserve respect.

It s people like me that pay there paychecks and keep them in business.
