Ripoff Bait and Switch

This Company quoted me a price to paint and install Crown molding in a 12 by 12 room in my home. I was told it would be $600.00 for the painting and the molding plus an extra $100.00 for a total of $700.00.

They were called back to add molding boxes around the bottom of the walls. We were told that would be an additional $40.00 per box. Ended up being 15 boxes for a total of $600.00. That would bring the total cost too $1,300.

I was charged $1,620.00 for the job. I had work done by them prior to this and everything was great. Stupid me I paid the painter rather than hagle with him and figured the owner Mike Purvis would hold true to his quote and make the adjustment the following day.

He did not. I will be taking him to court just on principal, but in the meen time I plan on using every oppurtunity available to warn people of his bait and switch tactics.
