Credit Card Fraud BEWARE

Here's the deal, someone stole my identity and used it in a JC Penney's store, charging almost $1,000.00 to it. Now I understand that this happens on a daily basis, but what makes me mad is the fact that this person opened up an account with bum information. The information this person provided (first name, last name, city, phone #, and DOB) were all wrong and did not match the info on my social security number.

So obviously identification was never checked either. So I just think it's comforting to know that someone can go into this store as long as they have a social and can open up a card for Mr. G.W. Bush if they wanted to because obviously there employees don't know what the hell there doing, or there policies and proceedures are that screwed up. Eitherway, I'm still pissed. I hope that enough people hear my horror story and do not shop at JC Penneys anymore.
