Original (BINDING ESTIMATE) was p/u 12/27 del 12/31 4800LB=$2713.71 which I paid 10% $270. Arrived 12pm 12/27. I packed 90% prior to w / 40 large boxes & 1 roll of tape. The movers excesivelly packed the remaining 10% with a total 25 boxes & over 10 rolls tape for an additional $600 in charges not initially disclosed. (No initial weight information was disclosed) I went with this company because they agreed to a 12/31/04 Max. Delivery date.

12/30/04 I recieved notice that they were just LEAVING & wouldnt be in Tx until Saturday 1/01/05. Arrived Sunday 1/2/05 due to "other delivery" and refused payment (personal check) After a hour of verbal abuse from the owner (by phone) my items were held hostage until I agreed to get a Money order or Certified Check to the balance of $4213.71- Finally delivered 1/03/05. No extra charges were ever disclosed prior to delivery. They also failed to provide "Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move, " paphlet. I have filed a complaint with the FMCSA and highly suggest reconsidering doing business with such a disreputable group and owners.
Any help regarding this matter would be greatly apperciated.
