Outrageous Service Charge

These neighborhood stores are convenient and certainly deserve to generate a profit from the service they provide. But last week I shipped an 11-pound package from this Palm Harbor store and was charged $47.07 for the service. I have shipped packages via UPS weighing three times more without paying that much. More careful research into what it would have cost me to arrange a pickup directly with UPS via the Internet revealed a UPS charge of $13.03.

I contacted UPS directly hoping they might intervene on my behalf and UPS "blew me off."

I'm as entrepreneurial as the next person, but a $34.00 charge for the service this store provided is outrageous. I strongly recommend fellow Palm Harbor residents stay far away from this merchant and his "usurious" practices. I certainly will never go back and I'll give serious consideration before using UPS again in the future. There are alternatives.
