Video AND audio recording in the establishment

I am currently employed at the Allen, TX location of Massage Envy.

Recently, I have been told that our cameras that we have in the store are also recording AUDIO!

Is this illegal? I discuss with my clients, during a pre-chat, their medical information. I'm positive they sure as hell wouldn't want their PRIVATE medical information being recorded on tape for god knows who to listen in.

I need someone to help tell me if this is illegal or not. I feel extremely uncomfortable for the sake of my future members, and my current members, to be discussing private things to me (or to a manager) about their experience and not knowing they're being audio recorded.

I bet you so many people would file law suits if they found out everything they say is being recorded.
