Ripoff I submitted my plate design for research and development paid $685 recieved inventrigation book

I submitted my plate design for them to research and develop I paid $685 by check all they did was sent me a book called inventrigation. I have no Idea if they registered my design. I called them about 2 weeks ago and was told that the person I had been working with is no longer with the company and was directed to the person handling my project, they were at lunch so I left a message. Later I did get a return call with a reply to my question that it would be another 2 weeks and have heard nothing since. Last night I discovered a complaint when trying to get through to them online.
