Macy's Bloomingdale's Orlando, FL retaliates against sexual harassment complaints against top producers

June I filed a sexual harassment complaint and other theft related complaint with Michael Steinberg, HR manager against a fellow employee. The allegations were investigated, eye witnesses confirmed and the store admitted to disciplining the offending associate (a top seller).in addition, the same day, I confronted the offending associate regarding a "stolen" sale, they subsequently made up for, by ringing some of their sales in my name. (Essentially an admission of guilt) After days of investigating (while I was off without pay), Michael Steinberg refused to transfer me or the other associate to another dept or store. (which I was willing to do to avoid any further contact with this employee)
When I filed for unemployment, it was denied and the store denied my harassment claim and stated I "left to pursue personal business".

After I hired an attorney I received a second letter stating I had "abandon my job". So which is it? I have been advised to file a claim with the EEOC.in a similar incident with two other associates, the offending associate (an hourly worker from the operations side) was terminated. Another Associate I know was terminated without even being notified they were terminated, again, for reporting a top selling associate.
