Needed $1250 asap to sell moms TS, 2good2btru claims, no action, communication

My mom sent "Timeshare Concepts" in Florida $1248, as instructed by their sales rep Stephen Powers, when she contacted them, interested in selling her timeshare. He said she needed to send the money before they could do anything, and of course told her everything she wanted to hear: high sale price (18,000), optional rental at high rate (4400), assured her he was licensed with the State of Florida and gave her # (it's a TELEMARKETING LICENSE), and the "Certificate of Performance Guarantee" with tghe same conditions listed in the previous report.

I'm so frustrated because my mom is 86 and stubborn. She complains about how bad her memory is, but refuses to admit she's forgotten something you tell her. Anyway, she mentioned shee called Timeshare Concepts, and was planning to send the money the next day. Well, it did not sound legitimate whatsoever, and that was before she told me about the amount of money they needed upfront. We had a long discussion about the details, and she agreed she shouldn't send them that kind of money upfront. It was Friday, and I told her I would do some research online that night, and she planned to call them on Monday.

Unfortunately, she FORGOT THE WHOLE PLAN NOT TO SEND THE MONEY. She had already sent it by the time I spoke with her the next day. She received her performance certificate (hmf!), and said she's already sent them the money, and there was no reason to discuss it, as I was trying to remind her of our conversation that she said we never had.

I saw their BBB complaints—too many in too short of time, although they apparently resolved them when contacted. Giving a state license # without stating it was for 'telemarketing' is DECEPTIVE in itself. And all research about these types of scams insisted PEOPLE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SEND MONEY BEFORE THEY CAN BEGIN.

The last report mentioned the 3 phone calls to the customer qualifies as performance. This is where it's difficult because my mom said SHE NEVER HEARD ANYTHING FROM THEM. But she added that SHE CALLED THEM PROBABLY 3 TIMES. So, it's hard to say, no, actually it's most likely they DID call her, and she doesn't remember.

She said she called them trying to get her money back, but who knows? The question is can i get her money back at this point, 6 months later?
