My husband and I requested a pole tent from JW Tent & Party Rental, Inc. Back in late April. They quoted a price and sent a bill out with the noted credit card deposit as we agreed to the rental with a stipulation that someone from the company would come out before the requested rental date to make sure they could put out this type of tent due to the fact that we were putting it over a driveway. When they finally came out, they called and said we needed a free standing tent with 4 barrels not the pole tent because of the driveway. We accepted and they sent out the new quote. When they came out to put the tent up on the rental date only 2 barrels were used as the other side of the tent was staked by their guys who put it up. They left with the other 2 barrels that they decided not to use in the truck and our check for the balance of the quoted price. My husband did not receive a receipt so I called the first business day available to have them send the receipt. When we received the receipt, they still charged us for 4 barrels. We called immediately to let them know we needed a refund as we received only 2 barrels. The receptionist said she had to talk it over with the owner. We waited 2 days with no response from them to call them back and my husband spoke with the owner who was very angry and started to make up lies that we never requested the original pole tent, that no one came out to verify that we needed a different kind of tent, that we had 3 barrels, etc and we would not get a refund. This company is NOT reliable nor customer friendly and makes up things so they don't have to refund customers their money. We are requesting our refund as we should not have to pay for something we did not receive nor requested as they made the choice to put down only 2 barrels instead of 4.
