Zac Brown Band
The Blackberry Smoke warm-up band at Cheyenne for Zac Brown was terrible and inappropriate for a country western/cowboy venue. Everyone in the area was yelling 'go home'. It was loud and hard rock

Recreation & Entertainment

Zac Brown, at Cheyenne Frontier Days, had 2 warm-up bands. Sonia Leigh was fine, but when Blackberry Smoke came on it was totally inappropriate for a Cheyenne/country music/cowboy venue. They were loud, hard rock. You could not understand the words to the songs. It went on and on. It was 2 hours of warm-up between the 2 groups and Blackberry Smoke totally ruined the mood. We had a group on 8, and all of us lost the high we were feeling awaiting Zac Brown.

We are in our late 40's so not too old to enjoy different music, but this is not in line with what we come to Cheyenne for or what Zac Brown portrays in his music on country radio. I/we think it will be a detriment in the long run for Zac to continue to have Blackberry Smoke open for him. It zapped the mood and ruined the enjoyment of the rest of the evening for all 8. Then, he brings them back out at the end of his performance, and it goes on again. We got up and left along with a LOT of others...
