I join Jessicas A List calling service a few months back and boy did I feel like I got ripped off. I first had to pay her $130 (first and last month to join). And in those two months they only booked me twice! At first one of the other girls that works for Jessica told me its because the business (movie and TV here in LA) is slow. But I had other friends with different calling services that were being booked several times a week. Then on the set of the second job they booked me on I was chatting with a guy who had been with Jessicas A List for almost two years. He informed me that he gets book every week almost every day (and the business is supposed to be slow huh). He then told me how Jessica has a select list of friends who had been with her booking company for awhile and that she focuses on getting them all the jobs. And new people like me will only get booked if one of them cancels and she needs a fast replacement. But shes happy to take your $130.
Once I heard this I then called to cancel my service with her. I spoke with her directly and boy is she a bit*! She has the nerve to tell me its not her fault Im not being booked because I have a look no one wants. As if its all my fault cause Im ugly or something (which Im not). Just to prove her wrong Im currently with another booking service that books me 3-4x each week! And the best part is I dont have to deal with Jessica Pappas bad attitude (I heard she was rude to men but youd think a lesbian would be nicer to girls.).
