Eating with no breaks. (rebuttal)

In response to the eating and no break rule at Family Video. I am an ex-employee of Family Video. We were told breaks were not allowed, other than taking the deposit to the bank, which for us was right across the street and only took 2 minutes. Eating is not allowed between the hours of 4pm and 8pm (prime business hours) You are not allowed to eat anything if you are working a shift less than 4 hours and you cannot eat within the first 2 hours of your shift. When you do eat, which is done at the front counter because there is no break room, you must be as descret as possible so that the customers do not know you are eating.
Even when you are only working a 4 to 6 hours shift, most companies allow you at least 1 if not 2 15 minute breaks. It would be nice to sit and get off of our feet for a few minutes. I guess companies can make whatever rules it wants so long as no one complains.
