Star Luck tried to pull a scam on me

I recieved a letter and check from Starn Luck Casino saying I won some money I called the company to see what this was about they told me to deposit the check into my account and the bank would let me know when the check ckears once the check clear then I would withdraw the money to pay for the processing and clearence fees before I would recieve the lump sum of money. I checked with my bank before doing anything and was told it was a scam. I also called the bank in which the check was supposed to be payable through and again was told it was a scam. Thank God for my good thinking before acting.
