Entertainment Rewards
Ripoff Beware of unauthorized fraudulent charges

Recreation & Entertainment

I recently bought concert tickets through ticketmaster.com. About a month ago, I noticed a $9 charge for something called ENT*ENTERTAINMNTRE (this is exactly how it appears on your statement) on my banking statement. With all the other charges that are drafted from my account, I didn't pay much attention to it. I just assumed it was something I had purchased. Today, I noticed the charges again. This time I payed more attention because I KNOW I didn't purchase anything from the exact same company for the exact same amount in two consecutive months.

When I called my bank, they weren't sure what the charges were either, but gave me the toll free number to Entertainment Rewards. Before calling, I typed the companies name into an internet seach engine and all these sites came up about scams and rip-offs. When I called Entertainment Rewards and spoke with customer service, I explained to them that my account was being charged for a service I never authorized. Like everyone else, I was told that either I or someone in my home authorized this service when I purchased tickets; however, I am SURE I didn't and I am the only one in my home. I also informed customer service that I had viewed the negative reports online about their company and demanded that the account be closed (even though I never opened it in the first place) and a refund be issued. The account was immediately closed and I "should" be receiving a credit to my account in 2-5 business days. I made sure I received a confirmation number and email before hanging up.

I thought ticketmaster was a convenient way to purchase tickets and it's often the ONLY way, but after this, I won't be buying through ticketmaster again. I hope that a lawsuit is filed against both ticketmaster and Entertainment Rewards for fraudulent practices!
