I was going to purchase a reward booklet from entertianment.com back in January. My credit card was declined and i thought i had cancelled the service.
All of a sudden, out of the blue, the company charged my credit card $30 on August 28. I called them that day and stated that I never ordered anything. They told me it was for a renewal.
I told them I never got the first one why would I want to renew it? I stated I had never gotten and email, or notice that I was going to get this. The man told me I could get my money back but I may have to pay a $7.95 restocking fee. I told him that I would under no circumstances pay a restocking fee and that I had worked in a bank for 8 years and that was fraud and they had 72 hours to refund me my money.
I called again today, August 31. They stated that until I send them the book I could not have my money back. I stated I have never received the book. I was told I should receive the book any day, then if I ship it right back in the pre-paid envelope, they will have it back in another 7-10 days then they refund me. I stated I would be contacting an attorney. She asked me to give her a minute while she noted the account. I told her to go for it because I had to go.
I am going to contact my bank tomorrow. I could see if I had gotten the first book and this was a renewal. But, I never got the first one. I seriously thought I had cancelled it.
