As a band who put 700 people in the club one night and got paid $1000, we feel we need to warn other bands.
If you are thinking about playing at the Icehouse, get your money up front! (Like when you show up) They have a VERY creative way of screwing the bands at the end of the night: they don't take cover from everyone (just who they think needs to pay), so at the end of the night there is no way to account for how much money came through the door. Convienient for them, bad for the band. Get your whole deal in writing!
