FHA Loan

They handled a mortgage application for a government backed FHA loan to purchase a home. I submitted my loan application over a month and a half ago. I went through all the obstacles, paperwork, letters and supplied everything that was needed. I was told everything was approved after a long wait and waited patiently to hear from them regarding a clear to close.

I was told Friday June 15th that my loan was refused because they don't finance log homes. The fact that this home was a log one was information supplied to you when my application was taken over a month ago and this wasn't noticed? I went through a month and a half of living out of boxes and distress a money for nothing?

I have worked very hard to get to the point I could apply for this loan. I am a professional, hard working person who has worked hard all my life and this is my first home on my own and I find the fact that the can tell me at the last minute when we are waiting for a close date that you don't finance log homes unbelievable. I would have saved the expense of $1800 for the inspection, appraisal and other work required me to do as well as the time taken to provide all the information to get my hopes dashed. If I provided that level of customer service at my job I'd be fired.

I left work today a noon because today I am totally devastated. Both the seller and I put our lives on hold for this result? Ag I supplied and paid for everything asked for in a timely manner, only to be told this at the last minute. I just don't know what else to say. I am beyond upset, this home was a new future for me and now it is all gone. I have to move out of my rental on July 1st and I have no where to go as of today.
