Lease Denial

We were offered an apartment, and filled out paperwork and was continually updated and shown progress on the property. Was told many times it was our's. Then was finally sent the lease and the apartment was our's. The very next day was told she was withdrawing the offer and said I "lied " to her. I was so upset she called me a liar I ended the call. Later e-mailed Sue to ask for why she didn't ask me about her perceived conclusion of "the Lie." We Traveled long distances Took job interviews and stopped looking for other option's based on her telling us it was our's, till the very last moment. We invested a lot of time, money, and energy based on Sue's decision to offer the apartment to us until the very last moment.
