Dear Ms. Kennedy:

This is in regards to a bad experience with Mr. Rooter. I don’t think any woman alone should contact this company – please, refer to my receipts herein enclosed.

On June 23 a man named Nick came out for an obstruction on the upstairs bathroom. He was more interested in selling me expensive plumbing repairs around the house than in seeing the problem at hand. He came alone and I had to help him bring up the rooting machine – 125 lbs. – my back and knees are out. I wish to go to the doctor for this and expect you to pay for it. He scratched my historic tile when he dragged the machine across. I expect you to pay for the repair. Enclosed is an estimate.

He also did not solve the problem and had to return. He did not replace the wax seal on his first visit.

When he returned on June 30, along with another tech, they said I have roots in my pipes near the entrance to the house. This is a lie. My pipes are all new and above ground.

You’re a woman. But no – no woman alone should ever call Mr. Rooter to the tune of $456.65 (later reduced to $300.00 given my complaints) and have to deal with this kind of abuse.
