Really bad experience

I want to tell you about a recent experience with Bender Plumbing in Waterbury CT. Two and half years ago my builder sent me to the show room to pick out fixtures for our entire home. Our plans showed a built in soaking tub which we ordered. A few days later after doing a walk through of our property we realized the tub, although not oversized, would not fit proprely in the bathroom. We promptly tried to cancel the tub but we were told it was not returnable. We asked our builder to split the cost since his design showed the tub would work. We picked out a claw foot by looking all over their websites as well as many others. The rep Liz was no help whatsover. When it came time to find the faucets again it was up to my husband and I to find matching handles drain etc to match the color (bronze) we had picked for the sink and shower. Liz could not find any. We were told that as soon as the soaker tub sold we would get a refund for our half.

Fast forward two years and I began to wonder what happened to the refund. I called the builder and he made a couple of attempts to contact Liz with little response. I decided to continue trying. I sent an email every 2 weeks or so and told Liz that if the tub was not sold soon I would take delivery of it. Magically we were told the tub was sold-Liz advised the builder. That was in December I believe. I have now had to follow up for 3 more months and learned today that my tub was sold for $200-this was a $1,000 tub.

I am not suprised that there is no place on their website to write a review.

I have worked in the customer service industry for 15 years. I manage a large team of representativesand I would not tolerate the type of service provided by this company. Needless to say I would never purchase anything from Bender again.
