Ripoff, Income taxes wrongfully taken for child support after judge ordered child support be credited!

After one year of being told that Mr Sowders owed the Friend of the Court, Wayne County, MI. He finally had his day in court where he was able to provide proof of payment. He also showed that no attempt was made by Friend of Court to respond.

In fact Mr Sowders was given a $4,065.11 credit for child support by order of Honorable Judge Lita Masini Popke on Dec. 16. With the help of Friend of Court Staff Attorney, Camille M. Dennis also an assistant Friend of the Court, the matter was resolved.

The interesting part here is that Mr Sowders knows how behind and unfair the Friend of the court is and has been. He asked the court, on record if his 2003 Income taxes would be affected and if the Accountind Dept. Of the F.O.C. Will be notified of the findings. The reponse was "Everything should be taken care of by Camille here, as long as you are up to date with child support, and you are then there should be no problem".
Mr Sowders confirmed this with Camille M. Dennis and was told she would notify them immediately, not to worry.

A few months had past, Taxes were filed and Mr Sowders expected to receive $3,409.00 back until he was notified that it was sent to the Friend of the Court, Wayne County for garnishmnet.

At no time has Mr Sowders ever been behind in child support and has followed the rules. Even after a Judges order the Friend of the Court defy's the law!!! It is demanded that they be controlled and disciplined. There is no phone number to call, address to write, email to send that will allow for a human being to communicate with. It's all recording or prefabricated info leading to the caller/sender to hang up or give up.

Mr Sowders knows that in order to even find out what is going on he will need to schedule a time with a referee which cost tax payers money to simply talk to a human being. What is going on there! And when will it stop Why do the Friend of the Court employees seem like they are hiding by not responding to issues at hand? Since when can the Friend of the Court make decisions with money that is NOT theirs and defy the a Judges orders?
