Visited today by a young lady who claimed to live in the neighborhood (four blocks over) and was raising money for her softball team that was playing in the national championships at Disney World.

She was convincing, even when she started in on her pitch (pun intended). We thought we'd done our random act of kindness for the month until another young man showed up about an hour later - different pitch (magazine sales - earning points for a trip).

I fell for the first... But not the second. Cancelled the check and now have to change account numbers.

Hope somebody catches the little buggers.
