Getting a ton of phone calls telling me I have been pre-approved for loans

I am newly unemployed, and wondered if I was able to collect unemployment. I tried to locate the CA office online to get a physical address, and came across this site and thought at first that it was the legit site.
They sent me some info about what to say to the unemployment people to collect.

They also sent me emails telling me positions for a Junior Loan officer were avalible in two areas where I lived, but had no physical address.instead, it gave me a link to this page: http://www.theunemploymentadvisor.com/members/admin/employment.html, which is just a page to apply for a loan. When you try to leave, you get a pop-up add telling you most people don't get approved, and it tries to get you to apply.

I called the 1-888 number because I had no idea how to apply, and I got a very nasty male, with a heavy Indian accent who told me that, that's how they do a background check on you. He told me to pay attention to the directions, and do what I was told.

I had no intention to apply for a loan, but earlier, I had put in my info on a different page, to sign up for emails, and potential job offers in my area. I was told not to close out the page and that someone would contact me with job offers. They asked for a phone number, but didn't call me with job offers.instead they emailed me.

Ever since than, on a daily basis, I get phone calls from people telling me I am pre-approved for different loans. I am tired of the calls, and I have a hunch that they are overseas and can't be touched.

I did eventualy find the address for the CA employment office in my neck of the woods, but this other site came up in the Google search at the top of the list!

I hope my credit isn't going to be affected by this...
