Fraudulent Non Profit Organization, Property Leasing Fraud

Tina Brown, AKA MC Brown with SEARCH INC had posted several advertisements for leasing warehouse space on Craigslist. My company called her because we were interested in leasing one of her warehouses. We met her, and she showed us the space. She had keys to the whole building, as well as surrounding units so it looked legit. A few days later we signed a lease and wrote her a check for the rent. Once she cashed the check we received a phone call from Tina telling us we were not going to be able to move into the unit because she was "disolving" her company. She said she would give us our money back by Febuary. She has not returned our money. Later we found out that she is not even the landlord of the warehouse she was renting out. She is leasing it herself from FFW Property Management and is not authorized to sublease any of the units. We have contacted the Management company and they told us she is not legally allowed to lease us the space because she does not even own it herself and she is behind on the rent. We were also told that she has rented out the same space to multiple people and collected deposits/rent from everybody, and told everybody they can not move in.
