This woman tried to rip me off for hundreds and a few thousands of dollars! Nationwide

I was looking for a roommate online at roommates.com, which I just want to clarify is a great site because the roommate I have currently I found on there and he has been living with me over a year... But moving on.

A woman name JOY ORME emailed me from the site at roommates.com and said she was interested in the room I had available for rent. Told the woman how much the rent, deposit and the total stay was going to be and the woman Joy said she would send me a check. A few days later I received a check in the mail for a couple of thousands of dollars for the payment and the move in fees. The check was for way too much so when I emailed the woman "Joy Orme" at enmus1@yahoo.com she said her financial advisor wrote that check and the rest was for her expenses and flight because she lived in a different country.

Well I deposited the check and my bank said the funds would be on hold for a week to validate the account. The woman Joy asked me to send the money to her right away and I said I would not send her any money till the bank cleared the check. Eventually, my bank told me the check was fraud and from a closed account. Just want to tell everyone to beware of this lady or any other people from roommates.com THAT LIVE OUT OF THE COUNTRY BECAUSE THEY WILL TRY AND STEAL MONEY FROM YOU! They send you an overpayment from a bogus account then they ask you to send the money back to them!!! Don't do it! I AM GLAD I DIDN'T!
