No help for the working american citizen

I have been trying since october to get some asst. For food stamps, all we needed was a couple hundred $ a month for a couple months i was pregnant at the time i applied. They told me to apply early because i was due to give birth nov. 7th so i did. I went in for an interview on my due date and i informed the gentleman that i was due so i would be out of work for at least 3 months, he said ok so i thought everything was fine he told me i should recv my card by thanksgiving. When dec. Came i had nothing and tried for a week to get a hold of someone. Finally i wrote a message on an e mail for problems with the system and said i would go to the news and someone called me asap then. They told me i was making to much $. How when im not working oh they said when you applied u were (as they said to do) i was upset but nothing i could do but to re-apply. (all the same info just no pay stub for me but i still had to go through this all over,) so i went on line and resubmited app. Now its december 11 th and i recv a letter saying the center i first went to is closed great they give me a # and e mail that are useless 866-762-2237 also 561-963-3000 561-279-1600 try them you will never get through. Dec 15th letter sent says fax to 561-963-3151 all your info (great i dont have to take my 1 month old son to a filthy dcf facility) so i faxed with a letter for someone to call me. I never heard from anyone. December 17th a notice saying i never called or came to facility by deadline. Hello duh dec 11th letter said u r closing dec 15th cannot reach u by phone at all. Now if this is all not taken care of by the first week of jan. I have to do this all over again give me a break all someone has to do is pick up the phone for three min. To give a call i put my # on everything. NOW I HAVE USED MY SAVINGS ON FOOD, and DAY CARE is MORE than i make a month, yet i know and see people that get $ and food stamps from u that have 5 people working in one house and others get paid by the gov. To stay home and take care of there kids and gave faslse info on there app. This is upserd and everyone shuld know how this system works (does not work). All i ask is for someone to contact me in person and a little help from our goverment.
