Dillard's screwed me out of my bonus and claims to care about families yeah right! Ripoff

When I had initially applied at Dillard's, I requested to work in cosmetics, however was told that there were no positions available by Mary Ann, the ASM for the Women's shoe department.

Graciously, she offered me a position working for her in the shoe department, after she noticed I had once managed a Naturalizer shoe store. Being the mom of two little boys, I needed the paycheck, so I accepted the offer and started immediately after my training (or so they called it).

First off they made me give them my info to give me a company credit card so I could use my employee discount, but, I didn't have the best of credit, so I was approved for a "pre-paied" credit card. Didn't help when I "HAD" to wear lined three piece suits and didn't own any. So, I went through the first few weeks getting talked to about my attire.

Then, in my second week there, I went to full time, which apparently meant I had to work everyday, Monday thru Sunday from open to 6:00pm, or close, which ever was first. I was only one of two people working in the department, and do you think that ASM Mary Ann ever took any of the hours? No way, she had a husband and grown kids to go home to. I explained to her that I had 2 small kids that were in daycare and that care closed at 6:00. She told me that I would have to find someone to pick up my kids from care and "deal with them until [I] got done with work.

A few days later, I find out from one of the girls working in cosmetics that there had been positions available for theat counter for the last few months and that when I applied, their ASM was on vacation. I then went to the Cosmetics ASM and told her what happened and how ASM Mary Ann was working me dead. She said to put in my two weeks and re-apply to Cosmetics.

Once I put in my two weeks, ASM Mary Ann worked me so much (by myself on doubles) that I HAD to leave early and use my lunch to pick up the kids, and eventually quit!

I went back to pick up my regular pay check and found out that I had been in the top 3 for sales that month (no suprise with ALL the hours). As I opened up my check looking forward to the huge commission that was promised to me, all I find is my measly $250 pay. After asking, I was told that commission was paied in a seperate check, which I could pick up in a week.

This time, I went back with my husband to pick up my check, only to find out that there is NO commission check! My ASM said that since I left the company, I didn't recieve any rights to my commission check, which was to be approximately $1,500!

To this day, I will not even step foot into Dillard's. Thank god I only worked there for a month and a half!!
