Tag swap mishandling, undue charges, account eroneously sent to collections

I was notfied I had an old tag. I was still using it when it was depleted. I paid tolls and officialy disputed violation fees. I followed steps told to take by ezpass representative to remove fees from my account.in addition I was told to send back my old ezpass and a new one would be issued. I followed these steps and rec'd my new ezpass. However, b/4 I could activate the new one, they sent my account in a mass transfer to collections and I was unable to complete the process. I called the collection agency and they told me I had to wait as they had not rec'd my account. Now that they have it, they will do nothing about it.included in the charges is a fee for not sending back the old tag. I will not pay fines I do not owe and no one will help me.
