Magazine subscription Fundraising scam

I had a young man come to my house claiming to sell magazine subscriptions for points that his team needed to play a soccer game in Mexico. I bought the subscription unknowingly, and my room-mate told me to cancell cause it was a scam. I looked up the name of the company on google and complaint came up. Guess I lost the fifty-five dollars, but I learned to not trust even the ones that sound legit.
