Tortured tenant

Paying to stay here is a rip off... There are four towers in this historical unit... The building is old so it's an automatic beauty because of the detail used in the older apartments... The views of the Detroit River are breathtaking, if you can open your window to see it... Now that I have mentioned everything that originally attracted me to the building, let me tell you what now repells me and repulses me... The office uses their caller id to decide what calls they want to answer. They have American cockroaches the size of half my hand... I reported the bugs, and came back to find mice traps. I don't know if they saw a mouse while looking for the roach, or they they ran out of roach traps. Either way, I don't whatever they're trapping in my apartment... The rusty pipes make noise to the point where you believe someone is knocking on your door. The elevator goes out at least 3 times a month in an 8 story building, there are a total of 14 stairs per floor, that's a total of 112 stairs... It's been out for the half the month of December til presently, what is now Jan... The staircases are loaded with trash, because the residents refuse to walk their trash all the way downstairs, and I can not blame them. The pipes leak brown fluid upon entering the garage, so keep your hat on until inside your apartment... My toilet flushes by itself, which would be a nice feature if this was based upon some sort of sensor... The toilet will continue to flush for about ten min... The water has been cut off at least once a month with no prior notice as to when it will be off and will it will be back on. Mind you, all utilities are included, so this has nothing to do with an unpaid bill, by the the tenants... I have gotten on the elevator with someone smoking a cigarette, and guess who the person was? The contractors they hired to fix the pipes. And these guys must be awfully hungry because they seem to always be on their lunch break... If you have a package delivered, don't count on a written notice to be in your mailbox, you will ahve to walk to the office, because they don't answer the phone, to find out if it's been delivered. My sink, which could fit into a porta potty, is always stopped up. The hallway lights have to be out at least a week before they are replaced... I'm sure I could on and on about the things I see wrong with this building daily, but there's not enough time during my luch hour. I would not recommed this place to anyone. To the residents, this is a place of living and to the management, a place of buisness. This is bad buisness and I don't intend to invest anymore money into it!
