Violated Civil Rights

On August 23rd at 1:50am I was stopped by Police Officer M. Sholley and many other Officers for what they called an unsafe lane change.

I have a California State Permit to Carry an exposed firearm and I own Westec Security. I have been carrying my gun EXPOSED and taking it to and from security jobs (Which is allowed under law.) for over 24 years and have NEVER had any incidents.

This Police Officer Pulled me over and walked up to my car and IMMEDIATELY began asking me questions of which I answered promtly and with total respect and courtesy. After asking me several questions like "Do you know why I stopped you" and "May I see your drivers license" and the Police Officer on the other side of the car saw the pistol on my front seat which is where it is supposed to be (in plain view) when a Security Officer comes and goes from home to work as I was.

After asking me so many questions so quickly and me answering them, I was then asked why I didn't immediately tell him that I had a gun on the front seat.

I immediately told him that I have a permit for it and that I own a security complany and that I was going home and that I didn't immediately tell him that I have a gun on the seat (which is not even required under the rules of my permit) I told him that I was answering all of his other questions.

They wrote me a citation for unsafe lane change and following too closely which was untrue but fine with me but then the seized my gun. This was an illegal seizure because of my permit and a direct violation of my civil rights per my attorney. They have been bullshitting me and refusing to give my gun back ever since.

My Attorney has told me to demand my gun back immediately tomorrow and if they refuse, to demand in writing whithin 24 hours a written list of reasons why My Pistol is not being given back to me. My Attorney also told me to let them know that I will sue the city for violating my civil rights the following day.

The reason I am writing this is to vent my frustrations and if anyone else is victimized by this Officer M. Sholly who looks exactly like the television charachter Dougie Houser M.D. And whos partner looks exacly like Actor Parnell Robert from Gunsmoke in the early days.

I am very upset because I have been unable to work since they took my weapon and they have used bullshit excuses for not giving my gun back for so many days, that I had to contact my Attorney. If anyone else is victimized by these loser Police Officers who usually become Police Officers because they have no other skils in life and who enjoy abusing thier ability to stop cars and violate peoples civil rights by way in this case of illegal search and seizure. If it wasn't for Police Officers like this, who abuse their position, people wouldnt hate Police Officers.

I would never commit any crime against a Police Officer of any kind but when I hear about a cop who was shot to death, I wonder if they deserved it and I think about their grieving families and I think to myself... F them.
