Ripoff Caseworker is vindictive and racist towards white people

Darius was our caseworker for our family. For a year we dealt with him, repeatedly asking for a new caseworker but he would never submit the paperwork to allow that to happen (until just recently, when we contacted three of his supervisors and the State of Ohio and demanded it be done.)

Although we were eligible for benefits and insurance he would "lose" our paperwork or say we never turned it in. We faxed in everything and had records. He put notes in our file that we were uncooperative and ineligible. When we called he would hang up on us or just set the phone down and walk away. I would actually have to wait 5-10 minutes for him to pick up the phone again, and I could hear people talking in the background. He would not return our phone calls unless we called his supervisor. He would not allow us to schedule meetings, and the one time in the last 8 months we did meet with him, he would only talk to my husband and said me and my kids could not discuss anything with him. My job does not have insurance and it was necessary for us to have the state insurance for our three kids, but he didn't care.

He was black and treated his black clients very well, and made sure they qualified. (I know that from talking to MANY people) He told me that my job wasn't a "real" job and that we wouldn't qualify for anything until I got a "real" job. He would lie to us regularly, sayin ghe had put in our paperwork when he really hadn't, and finally we started recording our phone calls. We have recorded proof of his lies and when we brought it to his attention he refused to contact us anymore and told us that if we wanted to discuss our case it would have to be with someone else.

This man is a horrible human being and should not be working for the Department of Job and Family Services. He made our life hell for a year. At this point we're afraid to put our name or he would retaliate against us. There have been lots of articles in the paper lately in Cleveland about caseworkers having their clients children taken away because they got mad at them. This man is capable of such a thing. If he is your caseworker, please, please, please, get someone else.
