Incredibly poor customer service - postage

2013 09 19 at approx 10:45am I walk in to an empty USPS branch lobby. The three women behind the counter are talking together. I wait a minute or two and step forward again, still nothing, then I move directly into the line of conversation.
Monica addresses me and I state that I have a package to go internationally and would require the proper forms. She says, " white form over there", I ask "where". She points. I pick up a white form and ask, "This one?" Monica replies, "No, the white form." I pick up another white form and ask, "This one?", Monica replies, "No the small white form in front of the big white form."
I ask another of the counter staff where i might find a pen. There are two tied to the counter on the other side of a pillar.
I complete my form and return to Monica as there was a line and she is now free.
I state my requirements, kindly and courteously and her response is gruff, like she really HATES being there. Her charge is 50% higher than at another post office (they had run out of customs forms) and she tries to double sell me Tracking/Registered and Customs tracking.
She finishes, pushes the receipt to the other side of the counter three feet away from me and from where she took my payment (I am not aware if the transaction is complete) and she calls out "Next".

I don't think I could script poorer behavior or customer service. Is it any wonder that the USPS is falling to it's knees? Would I do everything possible not to have another such unpleasant experience? You bet. That's why I am writing this and that's why I will NEVER return to the 1617 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10128 post office branch again.
