I recieved a yellow postcard also informing me that I was already pre-approved for a credit card that was unsecured with a $4000 minimum credit limit. I was to call 1-800-279-9609 with my confirmation number 222673650. I called around August 1 and spoke with someone who approved me for a $4000 credit limit with a 6% interest rate. Now this card would be used to purchase items from a catalog only (the catalog was supposed to be like a JC Penny's with everything in it). Then after I used that card a bank would contact me to send me a Visa or Master Card of my choice. This all sounded great so I gave the woman my bank account information and we did the check-debit payment over the phone, and set the dedit to occur on August 16. I set up for two checks to be debited out of my account on August 16: check #0312 for $221.99, and Check #0313 for $20.00.

My bank statement shows that on August 16 $221.99 was debited by Liberty Benefits Telephone 222673650. And then on August 23 $20.00 was debited by Check Fee Telephone 222673650.00.

I was told that it would take 4-6 weeks for me to receive my package. After my 6 weeks were up I called the customer service line at 1-800-991-8241 and spoke to a representative who informed me that they had many people call in and that they were delayed, so I should receive my package in 90 days. After my 90 days were up, sometime around the end of November I called again. It took me three days to get through and finally I spoke to someone who informed me that because of the Nov. 11 incident they were behind and I should receive it about two weeks. Of course nothing came and I tried getting through for a month, but there were no answers to their customer service line any longer. I called one more time on January 11.2002 and a woman, I believed named Lashawnda, answered. I told her I wanted my money back and that I was not satisfied with their business. She was rude and told me that they do not give refunds and would not let me speak to a supervisor, and prceeded to hang up on me. I called back and a different woman answered and informed me that they mailed my package and I should receive it on the following Monday. I asked her what day they mailed my package and she said she did not know. I told her I wanted to speak to a supervisor and she simply said that they do not do refunds and that my package was in the mail and hung up.

Of course I never received my package, and today is January 22. Please contact me ASAP to let me know what more I can do to get my money back. My home number is 530-822-9131, and my email address is mollina@earthlink.net. Thank you.
