Liberty Benefits now Liberty Blue credit card offer scam

I received a yellow card in the mail for a unsecured credit card offer of $4000-$7000 guaranteed. I was told to call 800-279-9609. When I called I was then told after giving my personal information that I had to pay a fee of $221.99 plus an additional processing fee of $20.00. Prior to agreeing to anything I did ask about the return and refund policy. I was told that I was able to receive my money back if I was not happy with the services.

Then I was told I would then receive a package with a special bonus for a vacation package in 4-6 weeks. Well this happened in August and in September nothing ever came. Not even a confirmation of the plan or the offer. I called again and was told that because of the September 11 incident things were backed up and I would not receive anything until the end of November. Nothing came still.

I called back and then was told that a package with a free computer, digital camera, and my credit card were sent on the 5th of December. Nothing came still. I called back then the story changed for the 3rd time that now a certificate for the free computer and digital camera were in a package sent to me and another application for the credit card. I just explained I wanted my money refunded and was told from someone named Tamika that a refund was not possible.

I asked her why did this change when they recorded my conversation asking about the refund and told her that they had my questions on tape. Tamika was rude and just informed me that their name changed from Liberty Benefits Group to now Liberty Blue, that their package was upgraded and the policy changed. I told her how come no information was ever sent to any of the consumers for this.

She would not give me any information. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she said he was taking calls and if I called back and he so happened to answer the customer service phone line that is the only way I could speak to him.

I do notice that other consumers have been hurt from this and I would like to see them get their money back and this bogus company out of business.
