Power outage

LIPA is a disorganized wreck of a company. I live in Elmont (Nassau County), an area that hasn't sustained much damage during Hurricane Sandy. I'm about to see an eighth day without power. The residents of Long Island need options... We have various cell phone providers, cable providers, supermarkets etc. Competition breeds efficiency. It's obvious that LIPA can't handle the responsibility of providing power to all of Long Island. This company is notorious for lousy service.
