Thank you for this site. I ordered a pair of shoes on Oct. 11 and something told me to check into the website, when I never received any type of email confirmation. Turns out, as we now know, the site is fraudulent. Honestly, I should have known something was wrong when I got to the shipping and it said 'Free Shipping Only'. Really, who offers only free shipping, all the time? However, they used PayPal as their payment source so I thought they must be okay. Anyway, I contacted PayPal, but I opened a dispute using 'Unauthorized use of my PayPal account' on the drop down. I soon got an email from PayPal stating that since I approved the charge it was not considered to be an unauthorized use of my account, and they closed the case. I couldn't believe that I had been taken for $40.00 bucks, using PayPal. I mean, isn't that what they do - enable safe and secure online purchases. So I went away with my tail between my legs and almost swore off of online purchasing, altogether. I mean if you can't trust PayPal, who can you trust? It wasn't until my curiosity got the best of me, after receiving a sponge in the mail yesterday, out of nowhere. I decided to delve a little deeper into the matter, and I found this site, with other people stating that they received a sponge after purchasing from the site. I went back and called PayPal and explained to them what happened, and how I saw that other people had similar experiences, but finally got their money back. The agent explained to me where I had gone wrong - I should have elected 'Received item not as described'. The agent was very helpful and opened a new claim for me, and, long story short, I got my $40.00 refunded back into my account, right then and there. It definitely pays to not give up and to pursue these people who feel like they can just take our hard earned money whenever they feel like it and get away with it. I am now waiting to see the site get taken down so no one else will get taken. Thanks again for Scambook.
