I signed with just energy in january for a five year term. They promote savings on you hydro bill - on their web site etc. My hydro bills have been extremely high this year and in august and september i attempted to investigate the cause. Ultimately, i determined it was because of charges by just energy.in speaking with ottawa hydro, i determined that i have paid an extra amount of $500.00 this year because of my involvement with just energy. I contacted just energy on many occasions commencing in august and september. I demanded cancellation of my account and written confirmation from them in early september. I never received that written confirmation even after several phone calls attempting to do so. They did promise to cancel my account without penalty because i am a senior citisen. They did not cancel the account unit a few days ago and my current hydro bill has an excess charge of $100.00 that they charged me. I have not explored the additional charges for previous years but have requested a $500.00 refund for this year and they just ignore me.
